Guillermo Palao-Moreno – Propiedad Intelectual e Intenligencia Artificial: Avances en la Unión Europea

Since 2016 the institutions of the European Union (EU) have clearly developed a logical interests in the legal consequences of Artificial Intelligence (IA) in all different aspects which affect the life and activities of European citizens, as well as the correct functioning of the internal market. A preocupation which also reflects the objective of enhacing trust and supporting an ethical approach to the impact of these new technologies in all economic activities, and developing a proper legal framework to allow a proper use of digital technologies like Artificial Intellifgene. With this objetive in mind, this presentations aims at analyzing the most relevant EU regulatory initiatives in relation to the effect of IA in the field of Intellectual Property (IP).

Guillermo Palao Moreno – Catedrático de Derecho Internacional privado de la Universitat de València (España), donde obtuvo el Doctorado (premio extraordinario) y es miembro del Grupo de Investigación I+D en Mediación y Arbitraje (MedArb). Académico Correspondiente de RAJLE (Real Academia de Jurisprudencia y Legislación de España). Miembro Asociado de IACL/AIDC (International Academy of Comparative Law) y Fellow de ELI (European Law Institute). Miembro de AEPDIRI (Asociación Española de Profesores de Derecho Internacional y Relaciones Internacionales) y ASADIP (Asociación Americana de Derecho Internacional Privado). Colegiado del Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Valencia. Miembro de los Centros de Mediación y Arbitraje de OMPI (Organización Mundial de la Propiedad Intelectual) y de Cámara de Comercio de Valencia.
